An MP believes the internet services being used by residents of Rathlin Island are "abominable".
Speaking at Westminster, North Antrim's Ian Paisley Junior suggested that fast, reliable connections are vital to people living in this remote part of the world - particularly to those who require medical scripts, the Ballymoney and Moyle Times reports.
Many parts of the UK are blighted by poor ADSL connections and a report published by uSwitch last week showed the average download speeds of the UK's slowest internet zones were 500-times worse than areas that have the best networks.
Rathlin Island is off the coast of Northern Ireland and Mr Paisley said it is "absolutely vital" that people living there are not forgotten about when new nationwide broadband projects are rolled out.
"I will continue to pursue in parliament what I believe is an issue of utmost importance and we must strive to ensure that Rathlin has the best connectivity possible," he was quoted as saying.
