Facebook remains the most popular social network among teenagers.
This is according to new research from Forrester, which has revealed three-quarters of 12 to 17-year-olds in the US use the website.
It said this is twice as many as rival networks such as Pinterest, Tumblr or Snapchat and higher than Instagram and WhatsApp combined.
More than a quarter (28 per cent) of those surveyed said they use Facebook 'all of the time', which is the highest figure recorded for any social media site.
Forrester claimed this proves suggestions that teenagers are turning away from the network are unfounded.
Nate Elliot, an analyst at the organisation, stated: "The sky is not falling. Facebook does not have a problem attracting or retaining teen users."
While Forrester's research was focused on the US market, it is likely that Facebook use among UK teens is similarly prevalent.
Last year, Experian found Britons typically spend 25 per cent of their online time on social media sites.
