Broadband users are set to benefit from extensive online coverage of the summer's Commonwealth Games.
The BBC will be showing over 1,300 hours of live action from the event - which will be taking place in Glasgow from July 23rd to August 3rd - across 17 different streams.
This is up from just six streams at the Delhi games in 2010 and means the event will receive the most comprehensive level of coverage yet.
Viewers will be able to watch the streams on a range of devices, including PCs, tablets, mobiles and connected TVs, and the BBC said they are being given "even greater choice and interactivity than ever before".
The Commonwealth Games Live web page will offer all of the broadcaster's streams as well as rolling highlights, text commentary, live votes and live medal table. Viewers will also get the opportunity to discuss the games by sending in their opinions through social media, email and text message.
A new medal alert feature has been developed, which will allow mobile and tablet users to download an app that lets them know whenever a country they are interested in has won a medal.
Barbara Slater, director of BBC Sport, stated: "The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games is one of the biggest sporting events of this year. The BBC coverage reflects our commitment to delivering great sporting events with the determination to continue the standards of broadcasting previously seen at Olympic Games."
This is not the only major sporting event people with a reliable broadband connection will be able to follow online this summer, as the BBC has also announced it will be providing comprehensive digital coverage of the World Cup.
The broadcaster will be showing 31 games from the tournament in Brazil, all of which will be available online either live or via catch-up.
Ms Slater claimed online coverage will help the BBC ensure this is the "first truly 24/7 World Cup".
