A resident of the UK's slowest street for broadband has criticised the quality of his connection

Research released by uSwitch last week revealed Erw Fawr in Henryd, Conwy, Wales has the country's joint slowest average internet speeds at just 0.6 Mbps.

Local resident Raphael Callaghan told the BBC the service he receives is a "joke".

"It is absolutely ridiculous. You read about all these places getting this high speed broadband - all we want is a decent speed - that's all we want," he stated.

Mr Callaghan, who is a musician and singer, relies on the internet to promote his work and currently struggles to do so due to the lack of connectivity in his area.

Erw Fawr shares the title of slowest broadband street with Wheatley Road at Corringham, Stanford-le-Hope, Essex.

uSwitch revealed Essex to be one of the worst places for broadband in the UK, with six of its streets featuring in the list of the top 50 slowest connections.
