Facebook celebrated its tenth birthday yesterday (February 4th).
The social networking site, which was founded by then student Mark Zuckerberg in 2004, now has 1.23 billion users across the world.
This is roughly similar to the population of India and around 17 per cent of the world population as a whole.
Facebook gave people the chance to celebrate its birthday by sharing a video of the highlights of their own time on the network.
The company recently announced its financial results for 2013 and revealed its net income rose to $1.5 billion (£920 million), while its total revenue grew to $7.8 billion.
Mr Zuckerberg stated: "It was a great end to the year for Facebook. We're looking forward to our next decade and to helping connect the rest of the world."
