Sony has delayed the release of it new cloud-based gaming service in Europe due to concerns over broadband speeds.
Named Gaikai, the programme will allow gamers to pay PlayStation 3 titles on the new PlayStation 4 via the cloud, as their discs will not work on the updated console.
However, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president and chief executive Jim Ryan told gaming news website Edge broadband "issues" mean no date has been set for the service's release in Europe.
"Europe is of course on the roadmap for that service to be deployed at some point in the future, but for reasons outside of our control we don't yet have a timeline for it," he stated.
Mr Ryan confirmed Gaikai will be rolled out in North America during 2014.
The PlayStation 4 is due for release this Autumn and a fast broadband connection is required to make the most of the console's features - Avonline can provide you with this.
