Data caps and usage allowances are the main drawback of mobile broadband, a new survey has found.
A poll by website ISPreview, found that 39.8 per cent of respondents think this is the main reason that will prevent mobile services from replacing more traditional broadband methods.
Price and speeds were also found to be causes for concern, with 22.7 per cent and 18.8 per cent of people citing these factors as their main reservation respectively.
The survey also found there is not a great deal of support for Ofcom's suggestion that 5G mobile broadband should become a "true substitute" for fixed-line services.
Only 26 per cent of respondents agreed with this view, while 41.7 per cent were against and 32.2 per cent were undecided.
Just over 40 per cent of the people surveyed claimed having access to a mobile connection was "important" to them.
For a broadband service that has no usage allowances try Avonline's Absolute Package.
