New businesses 'need a website' header image

Any new enterprises trying to establish themselves in the UK may wish to ensure they have a quality satellite broadband connection.

This is because, according to founder of KKSmarts.com Mike Seddon, a website is a must for modern businesses.

He explained that if individuals researching a company find it does not have an online presence, they are likely to think "'is this a real business or is this one man and a van?'".

Mr Seddon added that instead of using the Yellow Pages, people now go straight to the internet if they require information regarding a firm, especially as companies can use this as a way of displaying testimonials and examples of their work.

Therefore, without a website a business will be a "non-starter", he concluded.

Firms could also use their Tooway 8 broadband connection to improve their marketing strategies.

Jon Mew, director of mobile and operations at the Internet Advertising Bureau, recently claimed it is important to target smartphones as they allow brands to create engaging and fun adverts using video and interactive technology.
